Pressure

Being healthy is hard work;

Being happy is no joke,

Finding a balance isn’t a perk;

But it’s easier than being broke.

I want to get well;

Push myself hard,

It’s time not to dwell;

Important to keep up the guard.

I feel like I have failed;

Force myself to beat life,

I must have this nailed;

I must succeed now I’m a wife.

I have to be strong;

Pull myself together,

Can’t shed a tear for long;

Even if I’m as soft as a feather.

Put on my make-up;

Slap on a smile,

A deep breath and buck-up;

You’ve got this for a while!
